Where the writer Tetsuro Miura’s masterpiece is set in.

The place where fantasy was born.
Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture-born writer Tetsuo Miura spent a period of time after the war in Kindaichi the birthplace of his father, and set some of his stories there. This is the "Bunkyojo" which is in the story "Utah and His Mysterious Friends (Uta to fushigina nakamatachi)" famous for the musical by Shiki Theatre Company. Here is where the main character Utah that has moved from Tokyo meats his “friends” such as the Zashikiwarashi.
The old schoolhouse and the cherry blossoms fluttering in the spring wind.
This Branch School Auditorium use to be the Nagakawa elementary school but is now closed and become the Kindaichi Onsen community center. However the cherry blossoms bloom in the spring showing glimpses of the glory days depicted in the stories.
